The Hose Monster® is a Underwriter’s Laboratories and Factory Mutual listed diffuser that gives you accurate flow readings at the hydrant. This helps fire departments rate the flow of their hydrants and cities to determine water usage in a flushing program. It also prevents damage to passing cars and helps prevent soil erosion. The Hose Monster® uses a pressure gauge and a conversion chart to determine flow rate.

HURCO also offers the Hydro Flow™ Dechlor Demon™ dechlorinator to protect the environment from chlorinated water that kills fish and other water creatures. Dechlor Demon™ neutralizes the chlorine in water during testing or flushing without affecting test results or adding stress to hydrant nozzles. The Dechlor Demon™ uses ascorbic acid or other dechlorination agents. Available in three sizes, 2 1/2”, 4” and 4 1/2”, the Dechlor Demon™ can work within your existing testing/flowing regimen without the need for an entire new setup.
